Legal Services
At Gammon Piercy & Gaiger, we have extensive experience in advising people who are in trouble with the police and who have to appear in Court. Due to our convenient locations in Eastleigh and in Southampton, we have quick access to the Police Stations and Courts at Southampton, Eastleigh, Lyndhurst and surrounding areas. We take part in the Police Station Duty Solicitor rotas for South West Hampshire and in the Court Duty rotas for Southampton and Lyndhurst Magistrates Courts. We undertake agency work at the Police Station and in the Crown and Magistrates Courts.
We are able to advise clients on the following:-
- At the Police Station 24 hours a day, 365 days each year.
- On investigations by agencies such as the Department of Work and Pensions, the RSPCA and Local Authorities.
- On charges and summonses.
- Defending road traffic cases.
- In the Magistrates and Youth Courts.
- In the Crown Courts.
- On appeals to the Courts of Appeal.
The Police Station
We are available day and night. Ask the Custody Sergeant at the Police Station to contact our office or our Out of Hours telephone number. Do not speak to the police about your case until you have spoken to us. You are entitled to have advice from the Solicitor of your choice immediately and before you are interviewed. You are entitled to have a Solicitor present when you are interviewed. This service is free of charge.
The Courts
At Gammon Piercy & Gaiger, we have specialists who practise regularly in the Magistrates (adult), in the Youth, Crown and Appeal Courts. Proper representation can make a significant difference to the outcome of cases. Contact us as soon as you know that the police wish to speak to you or when you know you have to go to Court.
